Don't Make the Same Mistake I Did As an eco-auditor, eco-journalist, eco-author and environmental TV and radio commentator, it is clear that Donnachadh McCarthy is a bit of an environmental genius. However, despite McCarthy’s expert knowledge and many years campaigning against climate change, he proved “It’s Not Easy Being Green” when he installed a wind turbine that produced just 2kWh per year...less energy than it takes to boil a kettle thirteen times! Not much use to any Englishman who likes a cuppa. “I was the first Londoner to install a building-attached wind turbine. I believed it would generate a reasonable amount of renewable energy to help reduce my carbon footprint.
