Premiership footballer planning to build eco-mansion
Posted by: Charles Ahenda-Bengo
You would not normally associate the exclusive and fast-paced life of your typical Premiership footballer with green eco-living, but that is exactly what Gary Neville is doing. The Manchester United captain has never tended towards the more glamorous aspects of his profession, which may go some way to account for his ambitious project of building an eco-bunker. Neville has spent three years drafting plans for the low profile property that will be zero-carbon and built into the Lancashire hillside. Renewable energy microgeneration technologies consisting of a wind turbine, solar panel array and ground source heat pump ware incorporated into the design, subject to planning approval.
