If you've got a site that is windy enough for a turbine, there are various ways you can use the energy. The most obvious solution is connecting it to your home's existing mains circuit (this is known as grid-tie, and involves converting the DC current to AC). An alternative is to use the turbine to charge a bank of batteries. Both options have good and bad points and the best choice for you depends on your location and situation.
