the navitron 200w wind turbine
This is an independent review we have compiled for your reference. Feel free to add your comments or experiences at the bottom of the page.

This cheap and cheerful wind turbine system is imported into the UK from China by Navitron as part of their range of budget renewable energy products. It comes with its own tower and electronic controllers for battery charging applications.

It is probably not suitable for grid-connection.

navitron 200w power output curve

The graph below shows the typical power produced (in Watts) for the Navitron 200W at different wind speeds. No output data is available for wind speeds about 13m/s, so we are assuming no output (although this may not be the case)

Compare power curve with other turbines

wind turbine blade diameterBlade diameter is an important thing to look at when comparing turbines, since it affects how much power can be captured from the wind. This turbine has a blade diameter of 2.00 metres.

wind turbine anemometerHow windy? If you are thinking of buying a Navitron 200W, we'd advise measuring your wind resource first. Not just because we sell anemometers but it means you will have a much better idea of how much power you might generate.

cost

Price starts at £299 for a package including tower, guylines and anchors, inverter, controller and blades.
Extra requirements include cement for foundations and batteries to complete the installation.

noise levels

Anecdotal evidence of noisy operation, but this may be due to poorly balanced blades.
