With only three moving parts the Mistral requires little maintenance with no compromise on efficiency. This small turbine is best mounted on one of the specially made Samrey towers in clean air flow as the turbulence resulting from building mounts, as with all turbines, can seriously reduce performance. samrey mistral power output curveThe graph below shows the typical power produced (in Watts) for the Samrey Mistral at different wind speeds.  Blade diameter is an important thing to look at when comparing turbines, since it affects how much power can be captured from the wind. This turbine has a blade diameter of 2.00 metres. How windy? If you are thinking of buying a Samrey Mistral, we'd advise measuring your wind resource first.
