The Westwind 3kW is the company's smallest turbine, designed for domestic use. Until 2006 Westwind were an Australian company, but were bought by Northern Ireland based J A Graham Ltd. Blade diameter is an important thing to look at when comparing turbines, since it affects how much power can be captured from the wind. This turbine has a blade diameter of 3.70 metres. How windy? If you are thinking of buying a Westwind 3kW, we'd advise measuring your wind resource first.
